NGO Mahavir International Delhi,Vira Vision Group distributed food packages and ration kits
A voluntary charitable Non-Religious NGO Mahavir International Delhi,Vira Vision Group distributed more than 51000 food packages and 465 ration kits containing Atta, Rice, Sugar, Dal and oil to people from the marginalized communities which also include daily wage workers since 28th of March in the areas of Modern Shandara, Gokulpuri, Jhilmil Colony, Vivek Vihar, Rajbagh and Ghaziabad.
Vira Vision Group endeavors to relentlessly distribute food packages among the needy till the lockdown ends and the group will increase the number of food packets if needed. The motto behind this is that no one sleeps hungry. Vira Vision aims to reach out to all vulnerable sections of the society and to help them to have a reliable supply of meals throughout the lockdown period in the absence of any employment opportunities. The members of the organization are taking all precautionary measures like wearing face masks and hand gloves while distributing the food items. Hundreds of people have also come forward to support this noble cause by donating generously.
NGO said they are also grateful to Delhi Police and Delhi Govt. for aiding in food distribution among the poor, amid the country-wide lockdown. We also appeal to all citizens of the capital to join our efforts and contribute to this cause so that people who are severely affected by this lockdown can get access to necessities like food.
