On June 17, after hiring a maid, the elderly couple left their son’s house. When the maid arrived at their house on Tuesday, she discovered the theft and immediately informed the police.

Upon investigation, the police found that ₹60,000 in cash, two gold earrings, and some silver jewelry were missing. They also found a note from the thief, promising to return the stolen items within a month. The note read, ‘Please forgive me. I will return everything within a month. There is a sick person at home.’
