Price War Between Mobile Companies? Airtel, Jio, And Vi Roll Out Amazingly Cheap Plans -Check The Full List Here News24 –


After TRAI’s intervention, most telecom companies have introduced new recharge plans, primarily for users who need only calling and SMS services, excluding mobile data. According to TRAI, telecom companies were primarily focused on data and had very few plans catering to voice or SMS needs. The regulatory body has now directed mobile operators to launch plans specifically excluding data. Airtel, Jio, and Vi have rolled out affordable plans as directed by TRAI.

What Airtel Has In Store For You

Airtel’s first voice and SMS plan is priced at ₹469, offering a validity of 84 days with unlimited voice calling. Users can send up to 900 SMS and enjoy additional benefits with this plan. It also includes a three-month Apollo 24/7 Circle membership, providing discounts on select services and medicines. Additionally, a free Hello Tune is included. When broken down, the plan costs approximately ₹5.50 per day.

For Rs 1849 plan, you will be getting the facility of unlimited calls and 3600 SMS with a a validity of 365 days.

Jio’s New Voice and SMS Plans

Jio has introduced two recharge plans for users who need only calling and SMS services. The first plan, priced at ₹448, offers a validity of 84 days with unlimited calling and 1,000 SMS for the entire duration.

The second plan is priced at ₹1,784 and comes with a validity of 336 days. It includes unlimited calling and 3,600 SMS, providing users with nearly 11 months of service. Additionally, both plans offer access to Jio TV, Jio Cinema, and Jio Cloud.

Vi’s Cheapest Plans

Similarly, Vi has launched two affordable plans. The first plan, priced at ₹470, comes with a validity of 84 days, offering unlimited calling and 900 SMS. The effective cost of this plan is ₹5.60 per day.

The second plan, priced at ₹1,849, offers a full-year validity of 365 days with unlimited calling and 3,600 SMS. This plan costs approximately ₹5 per day but does not include any additional benefits.
