AQI Drops To ‘Poor’, Light Rain To Lash Capital; Check Air Quality Forecast For Next 3 Days News24 –
Delhi Pollution: Delhi’s air quality has deteriorated back to the ‘poor’ category after remaining moderate for several days. The air quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 213 on Wednesday at 6 am, according to the CPCB. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) attributed improvement in the air quality to better mixing height, ventilation coefficient and much favourable meteorological conditions for dispersion of pollutants. Light rain has been predicted over the national capital today by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Weather Forecast For Delhi
The sky will remain generally cloudy on Wednesday. The maximum and minimum temperatures will remain 29 and 15 degrees Celsius respectively. Delhi’s weather will undergo changes this week, as rain has been forecasted on 27 and 28 February. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 28 degrees Celsius while minimum will be recorded at 17 degrees Celsius this week.
Delhi Pollution: AQI Forecast
Rain is expected to further improve the air quality. According to the Air Quality Early Warning System For Delhi, the AQI is likely to be in the poor category from 26 to 27 February. It is likely to be in the moderate category on 28 February.
Anti-Pollution Measures In Delhi
The CAQM on Monday revoked the actions under Stage II of GRAP in Delhi-NCR. Following this, actions actions under Stage-I of GRAP has been intensified and remains in effect. The order further stated that the forecast by IMD / IITM predicts the AQI to remain in moderate/ poor category in coming days.
CAQM Sub-Committee on GRAP revokes Stage-II of the extant schedule of GRAP in the entire NCR, with immediate effect.
