Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said that he personally believes that dialogue with the United States is no problem, but he will not initiate any talks until the nation’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, opposes him.
Pezeshkian said that he believed that having dialogue with the United States would be better, but Khamenei’s views for America were clear as he said that Iran would not negotiate with America and they would not have a dialogue.
While Addressing members of Parliament in Tehran, Masoud Pezeshkian made the statements during the impeachment of Economy Minister Abdolnaser Hemmati who was removed by the Parliament over rising inflation and weak currency.
On February 7, Iran’s supreme leader said that Iran is ready to engage with any nation except the United States.
United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio had affirmed that Iran can never be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon.
He had said that US President Donald Trump has been clear about the issue and has issued an executive order to reinstate maximum pressure on the Iranian government, especially because the Iranian regime has been using money to fund their weapons programs or to fund their sponsorship of terrorism.
In an interview with Catherine Herridge Reports, Rubio had accused Iran of funding attacks by Houthis on global shipping, Hamas, Hezbollah and the militias in Iraq. He said that the US has to stop a nuclear Iran and it cannot be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.
