‘Trial to Be Held Against Sheikh Hasina, Her Family, And Aides For Crimes Against Humanity’ News24 –

Bangladesh’s interim government has decided that the former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her associate would face trial for “crime against humanity.”

While talking to Sky News, Bangladesh’s chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus said a trial will take place against Sheikh Hasina and all her family members, associates, and clients.

Notably, Sheikh Hasina fled the country after students’ movements rocked the nation and turned it into chaos.

Bangladesh’s chief adviser said that the authorities have issued two arrest warrants against Sheikh Hasina. The chief adviser further said that two formal letters had been sent to India for Hasina’s Extradition, but the nation did not receive a response from India.

Sheikh Hasina’s associates were accused of monitoring secret jails and they already fled from the nation.

The chief adviser said the polls will take place in December. Khalida Zia’s party Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) confirmed that the interim government will hold the election in December.

Yunus asserted that polls will take place after reforms and if additional reforms are required,  it will take six months extra time.
