Which Indian EV SUV Wins In Features, Specs, And Charging Speed? News24 –


With a recent Update to the BYD Atto 3 the EV SUV segment in India has gained another prime competitor. To help users who have been planning to buy a new EV SUV as their next primary vehicle, here is an in depth comparison of all the three prime competitors you can look forward to. We have also included a Hybrid in the comparison that you can possibly look forward to if you do not want a fully electric vehicle.

BYD Atto 3 

BYD has recently updated the new Atto 3 and its Saloon the seal in the Indian market. The car now gets ventilated seats, a black interior theme, and an LFP battery. The car would be powered by a 49.92 KWH as well as a 60.48KWh battery pack with an ARAI certified mileage of 468KM and 521 Km, respectively. The car is as of now available in three variants: Dynamic, Premium, and Superior Variants. These have been priced at Rs24.99 lakhs as well as Rs29.85 lakhs, and the Superior has been priced at Rs 33.99 Lakhs respectively.

Tata Harrier EV

In a recent event that was organized inside the factory premises of Tata’s test hurdles we got out first glimpse of the Harrier EV. As per a slew of leaks that have been leaked online it has become apparent that the Harrier would be launched with a dual motor setup. The rear axle would have a priority motor that would power the rear wheels and give the car its 4×4 AWD Prowess. The car is expected to be powered by a 75 KWH battery that would offer a range of about 500Km. 

Upon its launch, the car would go against the likes of Hyundai Creta Electric, and  Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. While the Grand Vitara has a rear wheel drive module in select trim levels the Hyundai Creta does not have any, all-wheel drive option. As per an older leak that was reported by Auto bhp the car would have a 75KWH battery pack and the AWD capabilities would be given to only the empowered trim variant.  Beyond the other additions the car would also get a 12.3 inch free standing screen along with ADAS level 2 assisted safety level features.

Suzuki E-Vitara

Suzuki’s E-Vitara is the first EV vehicle from Suzuki, And it would be fair to say that Suzuki has left no stones un turned to make this one a formidable option for buyers. The car is being offered with ventilated seats, flexible boot space and various other features.

Suzuki has introduced their new HEARTECT-e platform a ground up redesign that is meant for EV’s and provides perfect blend of innovation, efficiency and performance. The E-Vitara has been equipped with a high capacity battery that comprises of Lithium IO based cells that have bene tested for their operability from -30 degree to 60 degree C. The battery equipped on the car would be a 61 KWH unit that would offer a range of around 500Km.
