In a tragic incident, three people were killed in a road accident during Holi celebrations in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district. They were returning to their native village of Gambhirpur when the incident occurred.
The victims were relatives and were returning from Katra. The unfortunate incident happened when the car, in which they were travelling, fell off a bridge.
A senior police officer of Garh police station said the car fell off Agdal bridge around 3 p.m. Locals and passersby alerted the police about the incident.
The police rushed to the spot and sent the victims to Gangev Community Hospital where the three were declared dead on arrival.
The police officer corroborated that the deceased have been identified. After the postmortem, the bodies will be handed over to the families, the police said.
The victims have been identified as Akshay Lal Patel, Brijendra Patel, and Lavkush Patel. Due to the absence of eyewitnesses, the cops are trying to establish the cause of the unfortunate incident.
The cops are of the view that the car was at its full speed and suspected that the driver might have lost control of the vehicle which led to the mishap.
The police launched a thorough probe into the matter.
