The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claims that 90 Pakistani army personnel were killed during their ambush on Sunday against military troops being transported. A Pakistani police officer, who provided alternate information about the casualty figures, stated that paramilitary troops suffered five deaths from the attack.
As quoted by Times of India, the Baloch Liberation Army stated that they “targeted a convoy of the occupying Pakistani military a few hours ago in a VBIED Fidayee attack near Rakshan Mill on the RCD highway in Noshki.” They claimed that eight buses moved toward the target area, but one suffered complete destruction from the blast.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti condemned this act. On Tuesday, near the Mashkaf Tunnel, 157 kilometers from Quetta, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist group, initiated a hostage crisis by attacking Jaffar Express. The attack on the convoy by the separatists resulted in 450 people being taken hostage, including security personnel.
The attack targeted a nine-carriage train traveling between Quetta, Balochistan, and Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, using explosions and gunfire. During extended military operations, the Pakistani military declared that all hijackers had been eliminated while successfully rescuing the 300 remaining hostages in the unstable Balochistan province.
