Delhi continues to face a massive traffic jam in the Anand Vihar area since this morning. The traffic disruption has led to long queues stretching from the highway to the flyover. Vehicles are reportedly stuck in the jam for nearly 3 km. Commuters traveling from Delhi to Noida are experiencing delays and are frustrated due to the heavy traffic jam. However, the exact cause remains unclear. Some people suggest that it was caused by buses halting on the way by passengers who were returning to Delhi after celebrating Holi.
There are speculations that the people getting down from the buses at random places have caused the vehicles to remain stranded on the road. Therefore, the route from Anand Vihar to Noida stands completely blocked. According to reports, efforts are underway to restore the traffic flow. Meanwhile, the Delhi Traffic police have assured that the jam will be cleared soon. Residents and commuters are advised to plan their journey accordingly and choose alternate routes as of now.
