Delhi Weather Update: The heat has significantly increased as the wind speed gradually weakened in the national capital. Days have become warmer and the night temperatures remained around 15 degrees celsius. People, however, got some relief after Holi as the temperatures stayed in the mild range. Residents will witness a clear sky across the city on March 22, 2025. The maximum temperatures are likely to reach up to 33 to 35 degrees celsius today. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a steady rise in temperatures up to 38 degrees in the next few days.
Weather Forecast For Next 5 Days
The Met Body predicts a clear sky in the capital on Sunday, 23rd March. Residents will witness a bright and clear sky tomorrow with maximum temperature reaching up to 36 degrees celsius while the minimum temperatures are likely to stay between 15 to 17 degrees celsius. People will also be a little bothered by intense sunshine accompanied by clear skies on the 24th and 25th of March.
Thereafter, the weather will undergo a significant transition as IMD forecasts partly cloudy weather in Delhi and its neighboring regions on the 26th and 27th of March. Additionally, strong surface winds will blow at a speed of 20 to 30 kmph next Thursday.
The Weather Department has warned against an active Western Disturbance extending as a trough, likely to affect Northwest India in the next few days. Meanwhile, another fresh western disturbance is expected to batter the Western Himalayan Region from the night of 24th March 2025.
Over the past 24 hours, a slight rise in minimum temperatures and a slight decline in maximum temperatures have been observed. The maximum and minimum temperatures on Friday remained between 31 to 34°C and 15 to 17°C, respectively. The minimum temperatures were nearly normal while maximum temperatures were above normal by 1-3°C over most places across the city.
AQI In Delhi
An Air Quality Index of 148 was recorded under the ‘moderate’ category at 6 am on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Meanwhile, a slightly higher AQI of 151 was recorded yesterday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
