The Hurun Global Rich List 2025 is out now. According to the list, Roshni Nadar, chairperson of tech giant HCL, is the fifth-richest woman in the world. Roshni is also the third-richest in Indian, according to Hurun. She has a net worth of whooping Rs 3.5 lakh crore. Moreover, Roshni is the first Indian woman to enter the global top 10 female billionaires list, according to the Hurun Global Rich List 2025.

Roshni Nadar is the new entrant into the billionaires’ list, after her father, Shiv Nadar, transferred a 47% stake in HCL Technologies to her. 

Meanwhile, the Tesla-SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has retained his number one spot in global rich list. Moreover, Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani has slipped out of the top 10 in world’s richest list. However, he holds the top spot in Asia and India.

Hurun Rich List 2025: Key Findings

1. Mukesh Ambani is the richest Indian and richest Asian, with a net worth of Rs 8.6 lakh crore. Gautam Adani is the second-richest Indian, with a net worth of Rs 8.4 lakh crore.
2. The world currently has 3,442 billionaires, which is a new world record. 
3. The number of the US billionaires overtakes China, 870, up 70, compared with China’s 823, up 9.
4. New York is the billionaire capital of the world for the second year with 129, up 10. London ranks second with 97.
5. Financial services is the main source of wealth for billionaires, with one in ten making their money there. It is followed by consumer goods and healthcare.
6. The average age of the individuals on the list is 66 years.
7. There are 224 self-made women, up 6, in the list.
8. A total of 115 individuals on the list are fourth-generation billionaires or more.
