Is Pakistan on the Brink of Another Division? China Also Fears Instability News24 –

The situation in Pakistan’s Balochistan has gone beyond control. It seems the Pakistani Army lost its control over the region after the train hijack incident wherein several soldiers and Army officials lost their lives. The Pakistani Army arrested Baloch leader Mahrang Baloch and slapped terror sections against her. Besides this, the Pakistan Army has launched a crackdown against the rebels across Balochistan.

The Pakistani Army General, Asim Munir, sought a three-month time from the government in Parliament. Lakhs of Baloch people hit the streets protesting against the atrocity of Pakistani people. Section 144 has been imposed in the Balochistan region. On the other hand, TTP terrorists are targeting the Pakistani Army.

Now, the Pakistani government fears that the region could become Bangladesh. China also fears the same repercussions as it has invested billions of dollars through the CPEC corridor.

What is CPEC?

The Chinese Pakistan Corridor was launched in 2015 as part of China’s Belt & Road Initiative. It was initially planned as a USD 62 billion project aimed at connecting East Turkestan to the Arabian Sea through Pakistan, facilitating trade and delivering critical infrastructure.

According to Pakistani media reports, several violent incidents have raised apprehension among Chinese leadership. China is of the view that after the Taliban took over the reins in Afghanistan, terror activities have gone on rampage in the country. The Chinese officials present in the country said a foreign conspiracy could be behind the attacks and violence in Balochistan. The dragon says that internal rebels and external forces are trying to destabilize Pakistan.

Bangladesh’s Liberation War

Bangladesh became an independent and sovereign nation after the Liberation War in 1971. India recognised it as a sovereign nation state on December 6, 1971.

China said TTP and BLA would blackmail Pakistan through terror activities in the future. Pakistan has announced that it will not talk with any  Baloch activists or terror outfits. The move may invite more terror attacks in the country. However, it does not mean that China would not help Pakistan. It Will continue its support to the nation.

The Chinese officials believe that the government of Pakistan is capable of defeating the BLA and TTP terrorists. The Chinese officials say that Pakistan will be able to defeat the terrorists. China is eying to build a naval base and military centre in Gwadar.
