Sewer Overflow Disrupts Vehicular Movement On Chaudhary Fateh Singh Marg, Wazirabad Flyover Affected News24 –

Delhi Traffic Alert: Delhi Traffic Police has issued traffic alert for commuters on Chaudhary Fateh Singh Marg. Traffic is affected on the carriageway from Wazirabad Flyover towards Mall Road. Vehicular disruption has been caused due to sewer overflow. The Delhi Traffic Police informed about the traffic disruption through a post on X on Monday. Commuters have been advised to plan their journey accordingly.

Delhi Traffic Police wrote on X, “Traffic Alert, Traffic is affected on Chaudhary Fateh Singh Marg in the carriageway from Wazirabad Flyover towards Mall Road due to sewer overflow. Kindly plan your journey accordingly.”

Daulatabad Chowk Remains Shut

Meanwhile, the entry from the elevated service road at Daulatabad Chowk towards Delhi on Dwarka Expressway remains shut. The closure announced for a period of 44 days from March 18 to April 30 is ongoing. NHAI through an X post, had stated that the decision was taken due to expansion joint replacement work on the elevated carriageway. Barriers have been installed at the entry point to the flyover, stated the NHAI officials. They added that the commuters will be diverted to surface roads till the time of the repair work. NHAI has regretted for the inconvenience and asked for cooperation from commuters.

The closure of the flyover at Daulatabad Chowk has impacted commuters travelling from Sector 99 to 106 in Gurugram, Dhankot, Basai, and Kherki Majra etc. Commuters using this route to travel to IGI airport from Basai and Dhankot are facing inconvenience due to it. Moreover, traffic on surface roads is expected to increase further, adding to the traffic woes.

However, the NHAI had also announced an alternate route for commuters from Dhankot/Basai towards Delhi. They have been advised to use the service road and merge onto the main carriageway after Bijwasan toll plaza.

NHAI wrote on X, “Commuters from Dhankot/Basai towards Delhi should use the service road & merge onto the main carriageway after Bijwasan toll plaza. All other traffic movement remains unaffected. We regret the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation.”
