19-Year-Old Girl Stabbed In Public By 20-Year-Old In Cantt Area; Accused Sits On Road With Knife News24 –

Late Sunday night, on the main road of Kirby Place in the Delhi Cantt area, a 20-year-old man attacked his 19-year-old girlfriend with a vegetable cutting knife, stabbing her multiple times and seriously injuring her. After the attack, he also stabbed himself.

Both were taken to a nearby hospital, where their condition is said to be critical. As of now, no official police report (FIR) has been filed.According to early information, the incident seems to be related to a love affair. Initial investigation suggests that there had been ongoing disputes between the man and the woman.

Eyewitnesses said that the man came running towards his girlfriend, shouting loudly. Before anyone could react, he suddenly started stabbing her with a knife. As soon as her neck was cut, she started bleeding heavily and fell to the ground in pain.

After that, the man stabbed himself multiple times, including in the chest, trying to end his own life. For some time, both of them lay on the road covered in blood.

A little later, some people passing by tied a cloth around the girl’s neck to stop the bleeding. The shocking scene, with blood everywhere, left everyone around terrified.

Police Investigation:

According to a police officer, the Delhi Cantt police got information that a man had attacked a woman with a knife. Both of them were taken to the hospital.

The forensic team collected the knife and other evidence from the scene. The police are now checking CCTV footage as part of their investigation.
