Govinda’s Wife Sunita Ahuja Addresses Divorce Rumour As Son Heads To Bollywood

In February, there were reports that actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja were getting divorced after 38 years of marriage. Sunita Ahuja has firmly addressed speculation about her divorce in a recent interview with ABP. She said,“Positive hai ya negative hai. Positive hai mujhe pata hai. Mai sochti hu kuttey hai log bhaukenge” (Whether it’s positive or negativ i know it’s positive. I think people are like dogs they will bark).

She also advised people not to believe anything unless it comes directly from her or Govinda “Jab tak aap mere ya Govinda ke muh se kuch na sun lo toh aap yeh mat socho kya hai kya nahi hai”.

Govinda’s lawyer Lalit Bindal had confirmed to India Today in Feburary that Sunita did file for divorce, but also said that the couple had sorted things out. He added, “We also travelled to Nepal during the New Year and performed puja together at Pashupatinath Mandir. Everything is fine between them now. These things happen between couples, but they are going strong and will always be together.”

Govinda and Sunita got married in 1987 before the actor became a star and kept it a secret at first. They later made it public after their daughter Tina was born. They also have a son, Yashvardhan, who will soon make his Bollywood debut in a romantic film irected by National Award-winning Telugu filmmaker Sai Rajesh. The film is being produced by Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind, and SKN Films.
