Priyansh Arya’s Century Leads Punjab Kings To Win By 18 Runs, See Scorecard, Match Highlights News24 –

An 18-run PBKS victory at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur,Β Chandigarh over CSK occurred when Priyansh Arya hit a spectacular debut IPL hundred. The untested batter produced a performance of his career to score 103 runs from 42 deliveries while hitting 7 boundaries and 9 massive sixes during the fastest century by an uncapped IPL player ever (39 balls).

Just after the team choice to bat first, PBKS players accomplished 219/9 against stunned CSK. Arya guided the innings forward throughout the battering of wickets through his skillful and composed approach. A 65-run partnership between Shashank Singh and Marco Jansen later in the innings allowed Punjab to advance past 200 runs as Singh made 52* runs from his 36 deliveries and Jansen finished with 34* from his 19 balls. Ravindra Jadeja was the only CSK bowler who managed to maintain his control (3-0-18-0) during the match while R Ashwin (2/48) along with Khaleel Ahmed (2/45) experienced strong opposition from PBKS batters.

The match started in favor of CSK when Devon Conway (69 off 49) and Rachin Ravindra (36 off 23) launched an opening partnership reaching 61 runs. During CSK’s chase Lockie Ferguson erased key batting threats by taking out the team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad followed by the form player Shivam Dube and thus slowed down the team’s scoring momentum.

During the closing phase of Punjab’s batting innings MS Dhoni displayed remarkable form to score 27 runs off 12 balls and strike three huge sixes in his incredible hitting display. The 19th over dismissal of MS Dhoni put an end to Chennai Super Kings’ pursuit and they settled at 201/5. The Punjab bowlers managed to stay composed during tense moments as Glenn Maxwell took one wicket for eleven runs and Yash Thakur claimed one wicket for thirty-nine runs. Punjab Kings achieved victory in their third contest of four matches as Chennai Super Kings dropped to a 4-game losing streak in the 2025 season.
