Noida: In a shocking incident, a software engineer staying in a hotel in Sector 27 of Noida was found hanging from the fan. It is being told that the engineer was staying in the hotel with his girlfriend. Noida police have taken the girlfriend into custody following the incident. Family of the deceased engineer has also been informed. The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Umesh, son of Pankaj, who was a software engineer in an IT company. He was a resident of Hathras district in Uttar Pradesh.

IT Engineer Found Dead

According to the police, on Thursday night Umesh stayed with his girlfriend at the Wamson Hotel in Sector 27. Both of them had dinner there. During this, a dispute eupted between the two over something. Umesh later died by suicide by hanging himself from the fan in the hotel room. Police got information about the incident on Friday morning. They reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.

Live-In Relationship For 2 years

The station in-charge stated that the deceased’s girlfriend is being questioned. During interrogation, the police came to know that both were living in a live-in relationship for two years. Both of them came and stayed in the hotel on Thursday night on their own will. It is being told that the girlfriend slept the whole night and when she woke up in the morning, she found Umesh’s body hanging from the fan.

Family Members Informed About Incident

He further added that the family members of the deceased have been informed about the incident. If they make any complaint in this matter, then the police will register a report of the incident and investigate the matter.
