Nick Jonas Opens Up About Daughter Malti’s Future in The Entertainment Industry

Singer Nick Jonas opens up about whether he and his wife, actress Priyanka Chopra, would let their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, join the entertainment industry at an early age. On The Kelly Clarkson Show, Nick mentioned that Malti has her interest in singing, and this will depend on her choice to enter the entertainment industry or not.

Speaking about Malti’s skills, Nick said, “We have talked about it a lot. It’s going to be her choice. We have a three-year-old, and she loves to sing. I think a career in entertainment is a wonderful career. It’s also scary as a parent to think about all the things that I went through, my wife has gone through in her career. Your one sort of job in life is to protect your kids, but it’s also to let them fly and live their life.”

Malti’s Dislikes

Nick also reveals Malti’s dislike of soccer. He added, “I’m so grateful to my parents for letting us take big risks and chances. I think they did a great job of balancing that support but also being a little scared at times. So anyway, she’s singing a ton and I’m like, ‘Uh-oh. ‘ She’s not into soccer, though. We tried to take her to soccer practice; she wasn’t having it.”

Fans have heard Malti’s singing in the few videos shared by actress Priyanka Chopra, being at home or during a trip. The previous year, at the time of the Cabo San Lucas trip in Mexico, Priyanka shared one clip in which Malti was singing and enjoying her Yacht ride. On another trip to London, the mother and daughter were exploring the city when the toddler was heard singing.

Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, Father Nick Jonas, and mother Priyanka Chopra got married in 2018. The marriage took place following both traditions, where first they had Christian wedding rituals followed by the Hindu marriage ceremony. In January 2022, they became parents to Malti through surrogacy.
