Two Sisters Suffocate To Death In Parked Car In Rangareddy – How Children Got Into The Vehicle? News24 –


Rangareddy: In a shocking incident, two sisters were found dead after suffocating inside a car. The incident has been reported from Rangareddy district of Telangana. The girls were aged four and five. Both of them got inside the vehicle and went unnoticed for almost an hour at their grandparent’s house. The incident occurred in Damaragiri village in the Chevella police station limits on Monday. The deceased children were identified as Thanu Sri (4) and Abhinetri (5).

Police stated that the parents of the two deceased children had come to their grandparents’ house to discuss marriage arrangements of their relatives. However, during the discussion in the house, the girls went outside and opened the car door and sat inside the vehicle unnoticed.

How Children Got Into The Vehicle?

The sisters remained in the car for over an hour and fell unconscious due to suffocation. They were rushed to the government hospital, where police declared them dead.

“Children went outside and opened the car door and sat inside the vehicle unnoticed. They remained in the car for over an hour and fell unconscious due to suffocation. The parents took the unconscious children to the government hospital, where the doctors declared them dead,” added the police.

Despite the incident, parents have refused to file a formal complaint.

Incident of such nature was reported in November last year from Gujarat also. Four of the children suffocated to death after accidentally locking themselves inside a parked car. They were playing nearby when they found the keys and entered the vehicle. However, unable to unlock the doors, they remained trapped inside and were found dead later.

Such unfortunate incidents raise concern and highlight the need to be vigilant around small children.
