Bengaluru Weather Update: Bengaluru Residents woke up to a sunny day on Wednesday, April 16, with the maximum temperatures reaching 34.3°C during the day. The day featured clear skies with moderate humidity recorded at 41%, and gentle winds reaching a speed of 16.9 km/h. The ideal outdoor conditions were, however, short-lived as a fresh spell of rain accompanied by thunderstorms lashed different parts of the city around 4 pm.
Five-Day Weather Forecast For Bengaluru
The India Meteorological Department’s weekly forecast indicates a warming trend with daily high temperatures reaching 33 degrees Celsius. The Met Department shared a five-day weather forecast for Bengaluru, highlighting the likelihood of cloudy skies accompanied by light rain. On the 17th, 18th, and 19th April, the weather body has predicted a generally cloudy sky with light showers over the city. Thereafter, on 20th and 21st April, residents may wake up to a partly cloudy sky with minimum temperature reaching 21 degrees Celsius, particularly during the nighttime. IMD has issued a yellow alert in the city.
Subdivision-Wise Warnings For Karnataka
Sharing the subdivision-wise weather report for the next five days on X, Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring (KSNDMC) said, “Thunderstorms, lightning, and gale force winds with gusts reaching 30-40 kmph are likely across the state for the next 5 days, with scattered moderate rainfall in the North Interior and South Interior districts.” Residents must note that there is a warning for thunderstorms, Lightning, & Squall on April 17 in Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka, and South Interior Karnataka. Thereafter, IMD has issued an alert against thunderstorms, Lightning, & Squall in North Interior Karnataka on April 19. Meanwhile, on the 18th of April, South Interior Karnataka will face similar conditions.
