Residents will experience changes in weather conditions, as isolated light rain/thunderstorm have been predicted over Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Rain will continue to lash the Union Territory for subsequent next two days (April 17 and 18). Regional Meteorological Centre, Srinagar has issued a yellow alert for isolated heavy rain accompanied with lightening and gusty winds (30-40) km/h on Friday, April 18. Alert has also been issued for landslides/shooting stones/mudslides at vulnerable places of Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu Weather Forecast
The forecast predicts of generally dry weather until Thursday, April 17. However some places are likely to experience light rain. The sky will remain partly cloudy at most places. Refer to the following table for tomorrow’s temperature forecast for different areas of Jammu and Kashmir:

According to RMC weather bulletin, maximum day temperature has remained (8-10°c) above normal in many parts of Kashmir division and (3-4°c) above normal in many parts of Jammu Division on Wednesday, April 16. The highest maximum temperature was at Muzaffarabad (37.5°c) in Kashmir division and at Mirpur (36.1°c) in Jammu Division.
The IMD forecast for April 18-20, predicts Light to moderate Rain/Snow (higher reaches) at most places with possibility of moderate to heavy Rain at few places with thunder/gusty winds from Friday evening onwards. There is possibility of light rainfall on April 21 with cloudy sky condition and thunder at scattered places.
The weather will start changing from April 22, as dry weather conditions have been predicted till April 25.

In view of the rainy weather condition, an advisory has been issued for April 17 and 18. Residents are advised to move with caution in sensitive areas.
