Delhi government is all set to launch Ayushman Cards for all income groups aged above 70 by the end of April 2025. This initiative is part of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). The scheme aims to provide health insurance coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with other cabinet ministers, chaired a meeting over implementation of Ayushman Bharat scheme on Wednesday. As a part of the initiative, 1139 Arogya Mandirs will be opened in every corner of the national capital.
