Jaat has finally been released in theatres and created massive hype as it is Sunny Deol’s first release after the grand success of Gadar 2. Prashant Bajaj, who played a pivotal role in Jaat, shares his experience of working in this mass commercial film. In an exclusive interview with News24, Prashant praises Sunny Deol, Vineet Kumar Singh and the cast and crew of Jaat and shares how big of an opportunity this movie is for him.
Expressing his gratitude on working in Jaat and sharing his experience, Prashant tells us, “It’s always been a pleasure to work with such a wonderful cast. And I always believe that whatever work you get, it’s all because of destiny. It’s an amazing experience. Of course, I’ve learned a lot of things, and I worked with one of India’s biggest action actors Sunny Deol sir. And, obviously, the best of the action director, Anal Arasu, Peter Hein, Naga Venkat and Ram-Lakshman. Everyone is wonderful and especially the director, Gopichand Malineni.”
While recalling his experience of working with Sunny Deol, he reveals that the Gadar star helped him in one of the action sequences. He recalls how the director asked Sunny Deol to hold him tightly but the Jaat star was worried about hurting him. He recalls, “He was not holding me tightly because he was worried that I would get hurt.”
He adds, “We have to wear harnesses and lot of a lot of stuff. Sunny sir understands the situation, and he never ever showed that he is a big star. No. He just helped people who were around. Not just me but everyone in the set.”
“Sunny sir never makes anyone feel that he’s a superstar. So, he always makes you comfortable, you know, and says the movie is just not about me. It’s about each and every character. If sometimes I was nervous or if anything is going wrong, he came and gave advice. He’s always involved in the process as much as he can. And at this age, he is doing such a wonderful thing. I can’t even imagine, to be honest. The most important part is the kind of motivation he gave me as he does two hours of gym even at this age,” Prashant reveals.
He also reveals how Vineet Kunar Singh became a brother to him on set. He shares, “Vineet Bhai (Kumar Singh), who became my brother on set. I have shared one more of the most of my screen presence with him.”
Praising Vineet, he says, “I’m saying is Vineet Bhai, you know. You’re understanding that I’m using the word Bhai. He became a buddy. He’s like a brother to me. We used to share his feelings, everything, a lot of things. Vineet and I became brothers and always used to share a lot of stories. Everything is wonderful about Jaat, but I got a brother. That’s a gift which I came out of this movie.”
