Heatwave To Grip Rajasthan And Gujarat As Temperatures Soar News24 –


The recently forecasted temperatures and weather advisories reveal noticeable variations in heat conditions across regions of India over the upcoming days. As albeit in Northwest and Central India (and parts of Maharashtra) we can expect a gradual increase in maximum temperatures, Gujarat will decline slightly in temperatures after a period of stability.

Most regions will not experience a lot of noticeable change. Many areas, primarily in Rajasthan and Gujarat, will experience heat waves and severe heat wave conditions, and warm nights, as well as continuing hot and humid conditions in the southern and western regions of the country. Of course, these forecasts follow noticeable temperature shifts from the past 24 hours. Some areas had temperatures as maximum temperatures raised and others saw minimum temperatures decline.

Temperature Forecast

1. Gradual Rise in maximum temperatures by 2-4°C likely over Northwest India during next 3 days, till 18th April and gradual fall by 2-3°C during subsequent 3-4 days.

2.Gradual Rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C likely over Central India during next 4 days and no significant change thereafter during subsequent 3 days.

3. No significant change in maximum temperatures likely over Maharashtra during next 24 hours and gradual rise by 2-3°C during subsequent 6 days.

4. No significant change in maximum temperatures likely over Gujarat State during next 2 days and gradual fall by 2-3°C during subsequent 5 days.

5. No significant change in maximum temperatures likely over rest parts of the country.

Heat Wave, Warm Night And Hot & Humid Weather Warning

1. Heat wave conditions are very likely at many/someplaces over West Rajasthan during 16th-18th; at isolated places on 19th with severe heat wave conditions at isolated/some parts during 16th-18th April.

2. Heat wave conditions are very likely at isolated/some places overEast Rajasthan during 16th19th; Gujarat State on 16th & 17th April.

3. Hot & humid weather is likely to prevail over Gujarat Region, Kerala & Mahe on 16th & 17th; Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra during 17th-20th April.

4. Warm Night conditions are likely at isolated places over Rajasthan on 16th & 17th; Uttar Pradesh on 17th & 18th April.

Temperature Observations During Past 24 Hours

Yesterday, the Maximum Temperatures had risen by 1 to 2 °C many parts of northwest & central India, Maharashtra, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema, south coastal Odisha, rest Bihar, rest Jharkhand; fallen by 2 to 4°C over many parts of east Jharkhand, West Bengal, Interior Odisha. No significant change over remaining parts of the country.

Yesterday, Maximum Temperatures were in the range of 42-45°C at a few places over West Rajasthan, Gujarat state, interior Maharashtra; 38-41°C over remaining parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, interior Odisha, central parts of Chhattisgarh, south Punjab, south Haryana, south Delhi; 33-37°C over north Punjab, north Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, west Bihar, west Jharkhand remaining Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, northeast & south Assam, Mizoram , Tripura, remaining Karnataka, Konkan & Goa, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam . Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 45.5°C was reported at Barmer (West Rajasthan) over the country.
