About EV Policy 2.0
Amid the fervor that the Draft of the New EV policy 2.0 caused, a new update might be able to offer Delhi residents a possible short-term relief. The relief comes in the guise of a three-month extension in the implementation of the new EV 2.0 policy. As per a recent update, the current policy would continue to operate till the new Delhi EV 2.0 policy is implemented. The policy was aimed to tackle vehicular pollution and, beyond that, the new policy was also aimed to boost the adoption of EV vehicles by 25% by 2024. The initial three-year term ended in August 2024; however, the state government decided to extend the guideline beyond.
