According to Delhi Police, a wanted criminal named Akshay alias Golu (30 years old), a resident of Dharampura, was involved in a robbery case in Najafgarh. Around 5 AM today, police spotted him near Jai Vihar Nala Road with a stolen motorcycle.
Asked to Surrender, Opened Fire Instead
When the police asked him to surrender, he started firing at them. In the crossfire, he was shot in the left leg. Police recovered one pistol and two live bullets from him.
Akshay fired two shots, and the Najafgarh Police team fired three shots in return. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Akshay is a listed criminal (BC) of Najafgarh Police Station and has 13 cases registered against him, including robbery, snatching, theft, and Arms Act violations.
He has faced preventive action 10 times in the past. The last time he was arrested was on 18th January 2025 under Section 126/170 of BNSS at PS Baba Haridas Nagar.
