Clear Skies And Scorching Heat To Dominate This Week News24 –


Delhi-NCR experienced a relief in temperature, as the national capital witnessed strong winds in several regions. According to IMD, there will be no major change in maximum temperatures during the next 24 hours. However, the capital will witness a fall by 02-04°C during the next three subsequent days and rise by 02-03°C thereafter.

The IMD has predicted cloudy skies in several areas of the national capital on Saturday. Apart from this, light rain is expected in several regions of Delhi-NCR on April 19, which will be accompanied by winds.

Delhi-NCR Weather

No large change in maximum temperatures during next 24 hours and fall by 02-04°C during next subsequent three days and rise by 02-03°C thereafter.

Delhi Heatwave

Delhi is expected to begin the day on April 17 under mainly clear skies which will start becoming partly cloudy by the evening. Heatwave conditions are predicted to prevail in isolated regions. Maximum temperatures will remain in the high range of 39°C to 40°C and minimums between 23°C to 25°C.

Precautionary Measures

1. Avoid going out in the sun, especially between 12.00 noon and 3.00 p.m.

2. Drink sufficient water and as often as possible, even if not thirsty

3. Wear lightweight, light-coloured, loose, and porous cotton clothes. Use protective goggles, umbrella/hat, shoes or chappals while going out in sun.

4. Avoid strenuous activities when the outside temperature is high. Avoid working outside between 12 noon and 3 p.m.

5. While travelling, carry water with you.

    Past Weather

    1. There has been no large change in minimum temperatures and maximum temperatures over Delhi during the past 24 hours.

    2. The Maximum and Minimum temperatures are in the range of 39 to 41°C and 24 to 26°C respectively.

    3. The minimum temperatures are above normal by 1-4°C and maximum temperatures are appreciably above normal by 2-4°C over most places over Delhi.

    4. Mainly clear sky. Easterly winds speed up to 20 kmph prevailed over Delhi during the past 24 hours.
