Royal Enfield GT-R 750CC Might Look Like This? Possible Resemblance With Continental GT Cup Bikes News24 –
Royal Enfield has been planning a new 750cc Continental GT successor as apparent by a slew of recent reports. As per recent updates, it has been established that Royal Enfield would be planning to upgrade the café racer with a new engine. The 750cc parallel twin platform would help Royal Enfield pitch their vehicles against the international players in newer emerging markets for the brand.
Although not much has been revealed about the new GT-R a few leaks published earlier had reported what the bike might look like. It was while testing that the enthusiasts were able to get a few photographs of the bike. Since Royal Enfield has been planning to equip the Café racer style moniker as well as the Himalayan moniker with the new Parallel Twin 750cc engine first , its possible that the bike might have a uncanny resemblance with the Gt racing bikes that were used for the Continental Gt Cup
Continental GT-R 650 Bikes
The Continental Gt-R bikes were specifically designed to compete in the Continental Gt Cup. Although the bikes used the same stock 650cc parallel Twins we have seen on the interceptor as well as the Continental GT, the other ancillaries of the bike were modified. These included a lighter and free-flow exhaust along with grippier tires. The bikes were equipped with fairing up front that shrouded the front headlights. The Gt-R spec bikes were given a short tail design with an extended seat that would help the rider while leaning in the corners.
The normal run-of-the-mill Royal Enfield Continental GT-R is equipped with a softer suspension that allows for a comfortable ride. But the GT-R spec bikes were given much more stiffer front forks with preload adjustability and beyond that the rear dual shock absorbers were also switched with newer units that used progressive springs. Such changes allow track spec bikes to have a stiffer ride that allows for better corner transitions and easier circuit rides.
Beyond these changes, the handlebars of the bike were dropped as well to help the rider attain the best sitting position to reduce air drag. Beyond these changes the bike must have had upgraded brakes as well to ensure that test riders get the best braking performance without brake fade.
Possibility of Similar Appearance
While The GT-R bikes were specifically designed for racing purposes the new 750 GTR would be much more docile. It’s possible that the rider triangle would go through significant changes to ensure that the rider position is much more comfortable. But the overall aesthetics of the bikes could be pretty similar. Royal Enfield has not shared any more details about the overall looks or development of the bike, But the leaks have certainly made it apparent that the new 750CC parallel Twin would be shoehorned first into the continental as well as the Himalayan Chassis.
