A woman, mother of four children, from Budaun district allegedly eloped with her daughter’s father-in-law in an alleged affair, police said, adding the woman escaped with cash and jewellery. Police said the family resides in the Dataganj area in the Budaun district. Who originally hailed from Muradnagar and resided with her family. In his complaint to police, the woman’s husband, who is a truck driver, alleged that his wife eloped with her daughter’s father-in-law.

A few days before the incident, the woman’s son spotted her mother and daughter’s father-in-law, who was also a truck driver, in a compromised situation. This triggered a dispute, following which the woman packed all the cash and jewellery and escaped on April 11.

The woman’s husband alleged that his wife had tried to elope with her father-in-law in the past as well, but then the family managed to stop her and counsel her.

Investigation revealed that the woman’s husband occasionally visited home due to the nature of his work. In his absence, the father-in-law took advantage and started visiting his home, following which they entered into a relationship.

Buduan, CO, KK Tiwari confirmed the incident and said a team has been formed to recover the women. A case was registered on April 17, and further investigation is underway.
