Orange Alert For Jammu-Kashmir, Uttarakhand; Heavy Rain Likely In Arunachal Pradesh From April 22 News24 –
IMD Weather Update: North Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Kerala & Mahe received a fresh spell of rain during the past 24 hours. Though several regions saw respite due to rain, parts of Rajasthan sizzled from under ongoing heat wave conditions. According to the India Meteorological Department’s latest update, an active Western Disturbance is expected to bring light showers, thunderstorms, lightning & squally winds gusting to 80 kmph over multiple regios.
IMD Issues Orange Alert!
IMD has sounded an orange alert over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh on 20th and 21st April, and over Uttarakhand on 20th. The list, however, doesn’t end here! Uttar Pradesh has been issued an orange warning on the 20th of April. Meanwhile, the Met Department has cautioned against an isolated hailstorm over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand tomorrow.

Heavy Rain warning Over Arunachal Pradesh
Residents of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya must brace for intense downpour from 22nd to 25th April. The rain, attributed to an upper cyclonic circulation and two troughs, is also set to bring light rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning & gusty winds over Northeast and East India during the next 5 days. At the same time, Odisha and Jharkhand will witness similar conditions on 20th April, while Vidarbha & Chhattisgarh will be lashed by rain from 19th to 23rd April.
Light Showers To lash Kerala, Andhra Pradesh
The Weather Body has predicted scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning & gusty winds (speed 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph) over Kerala &
Mahe, Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and Rayalaseema during the next 5 days and
over Telangana until 221st April.
