Mumbai: A shocking incident unfolded on a busy road in Mumbai on Saturday after a 16-year-old boy attacked a government bus with a sword. According to reports, he was upset after being scolded by his uncle and vandalised the bus in a fit of rage. He can be spotted shouting in Mumbai’s Bhandup area while attacking the vehicle.
Reports revealed that the boy, who is already facing several police cases, has since been detained. Not only did the minor stop the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) bus, but he also threatened the driver with a sword he had in his hand. The bus windshield and windows were shattered in the rampage, causing a loss of Rs 70,000. Meanwhile, damage was also caused to a water tanker, and an auto parked nearby.

Police have sent him to a juvenile remand home, reports added. During questioning, the teenager reportedly told the authorities that he lost his temper after being accused of theft by his uncle. The bus driver, identified as Dnyaneshwar Rathod, filed a complaint at the police station following the incident.
The boy has been charged with different acts related to criminal intimidation, use of dangerous weapons, and criminal force. Acts on Public Property Damage and Arms have also been invoked against him. On the other hand, after the video went viral, netizens urged Mumbai Police to identify the youth and take the strictest possible action against him.
