IAF Regrets Inadvertent Drop Of Non-Explosive Store That Damaged Property In Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri, Institutes Inquiry News24 –


The Indian Air Force (IAF) has expressed regret over damage to a home, near Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, caused by the inadvertent drop of a non-explosive aerial store from an IAF aircraft. The IAF also constituted an inquiry into the matter.

The IAF posted on X,” Indian Air Force (IAF) regrets the damage caused today to property on ground, near Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh by the inadvertent drop of a non-explosive aerial store from an IAF aircraft, and has instituted an inquiry into the incident.”

Earlier, Aman Singh Rathore, Superintendent of Police, Shivpuri, said something fell on one, Manoj Sagar’s residence in Thakur Baba Colony in Pichhore. He said One of the rooms was destroyed and other was partially damaged in the incident.

SP Aman Singh Rathore said, “Around 11 AM, something from the sky fell on Manoj Sagar’s house in Thakur Baba Colony in Pichhore. An airforce jet was passing by at that time so the possibility is that it fell from that aircraft. One of the rooms was destroyed and other was partially damaged. No one was injured severely. We have informed the officials of Gwalior base and their team is reaching here to investigate whether it was a shell or a part of the aircraft… There are various incidents where compensation is given but that comes under the authority of the Collector and he will be able to tell how the victim family will be helped.”
