IMD Weather Update: Due to an active upper cyclonic circulation brewing over central Assam, the weather across several states is set to undergo significant changes. These meteorological conditions are likely to bring light rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching up to 50 Km/h over many regions. The affected places, likely to witness these changes, during the next 7 days are Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala & Mahe, and Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry & Karaikal.
Heavy Rain Warning
The Met Body has predicted thundersquall (wind speed gusting up to 50-60 km/h) over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya on 26th April. Meanwhile, residents in Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh must brace for heavy rain on 26 and 27th. Intense downpours will also be witnessed over
Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura on 28th & 29th April. Additionally, isolated heavy rainfall is also likely over Kerala & Mahe on 28th and 29th April.

Light Rain, Thunderstorms, Lightning To Lash East India
According to IMD, light showers accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds are expected to lash East India and East Uttar Pradesh during 26th-29th April. The Weather Body, on the other hand, forecasted isolated hailstorm activity over North Interior Karnataka on 26th April; Chhattisgarh during 26th-28th; Vidarbha on 27th, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on
26th; Bihar, Jharkhand on 27th; Odisha on 27th & 28th April.
Western Himalayan Region To Receive Rain Today
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions. Be prepared to move to safer places as isolated heavy rainfall will lash Sikkim on 26th and 27th April. Light showers with strong winds speed gusting to 50 km/h, are likely over the Western Himalayan Region on 26th April. Stay indoors, close windows & doors, and avoid travel if possible.
