Shubman Gill Reacts After Gujarat Titans Defeat, Says ‘We Could Have Done…’ News24 –

Rajasthan Royals played against the Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur and put up a thrilling contest as RR won by 8 wickets. The victory was possible because of 14-year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s heroics as he scored a dashing century in just 35 balls.

Gujarat Titans Get Defeated Despite Posting A Big Target

Batting first Gujarat was of to a great start with Sai Sudharsan (39) and Shubman Gill (84) again were the dynamic duo and formed a strong partnership. Following this its was Jos Buttler’s half century which helped the Titans post a solid total of 209 on board. But Rajasthan Royals came in like a storm in second innings and swept the game away from GT’s favour.

Shubman Gill Opens Up After Defeat

After the match Shubman Gill credited RR batters for their exceptional efforts and also highlighted that GT could have done some things differently. Optimistic in his approach he is now looking forward to the next game which is in Ahmedabad.

“I think they took the game away from us in the powerplay, credit to them for that. We could have done a couple of things better, but it’s easy to say those things when sitting out, some chances came out way and we didn’t take them. I sat out because I felt a back spasm, didn’t want to take a chance. Next match is at Ahmedabad, we’ve had a good run there. It was Suryavanshi’s day, his hitting was tremendous and he made full use of it.”

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Heroics Take The Match Away From GT

The GT bowlers could not make an impact in the second innings and Karim Janat was the most expensive bowler as 14-year Vaibhav Suryavanshi completely thrashed him in one over for 30 runs.

For Rajasthan Royals, Vaibhav Suryavanshi stunned everyone and played a fearless knock to score his maiden IPL century. Yashasvi Jaiswal also impressed everyone with a powerful knock of 70 runs off 40 balls. The duo ultimately led Rajasthan towards much needed victory and kept their hopes alive for the playoffs.
