In a recent news update, all Maruti Suzuki cars would be equipped with six air bags in the ongoing year. The new move aligns with the government’s move to enhance passenger safety in vehicles. As per the company’s Chairman RC Bhargava, all cars under their moniker would be equipped with six airbags. The government has been keen on ensuring that all the vehicles are able to deliver a profound safety quotient and to achieve similar objectives Suzuki would equip vehicles with 6 air bags.
Suzuki Cars Recently Updated With 6 Airbags
Recently monikers such as the Suzuki Eeco, Wagon R , Alto K10, Brezza and Celerio have been updated with 6 airbags. Cars that would further get updated would include Suzuki Baleno, Fronx, Ignis, Ertiga XL6 and S-presso.
Baleno And Fronx To Get Revised Pricing
While the Baleno does get side and curtain airbags in the high end variants, with the update all the variants of the car would be equipped with 6 airbags. The inevitable result of the update would be that the entry level models would get price hikes. The Fronx stats off at Rs 7.55 lakh and the Baleno starts off at Rs 6.70 lakh. Prices of Ertiga, XL6, Ignis and S -Presso will also increase with the new safety updates. To give an idea of how extensive the price hikes could be the price hike for Celerio after 6 Air Bag addition was around Rs 32,500.
Suzuki has been making profound efforts to make their cars safe, the new Maruti Dzire Scored a 5 star safety rating has further established that the brand seeks to produce safer cars in the future. The 6 airbag decision would further add to the overall enhanced safety for cars.
