Emraan Hashmi-Starrer Barely Manages To Survive In Theatres

Emraan played the role of real-life BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. At the trailer launch event of Ground Zero, he talked about the importance of BSF officer Narendra Nath Dubey’s real life operation after the 2001 Parliament Attack in India. He shared, “The story of the sacrifices of these BSF officers and this particular mission/operation’s importance from the phase of 2000-2003 is that Jaish-E-Mohammed’s whole infrastructure was destabilised by it.”

He added, “For 13 years, this organisation didn’t plan a terrorist attack on Indian soil because of this operation. Not too many people know about that. So that is the importance of this operation, and that’s why it’s a story that was waiting to be told. It is better late than never.”

The movie also stars Sai Tamhankar, Zoya Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari, Deepak Parmesh, Lalit Prabhakar, Rockey Raina and Rahul Vohra in the pivotal roles.

Ground Zero made the history by becoming the first Indian film in 38 years to have its red carpet premiere in Srinagar, Kashmir. This is a big milestone for Ground Zero and its makers as the movie has scripted its named in the history.
