WAVES Summit 2025: ‘A Bold Step And Historic Moment For India’
Priyanka Chopra has warmly thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for supporting the Indian entertainment industry. She called the WAVES Summit 2025 a ‘bold step’ and a ‘historic moment’ for the country.
The World Audiovisual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) will be held from May 1 to 4 at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai.
WAVES is a major event that brings together people from around the world who work in film, creativity, and teamwork in the industry
The event will welcome over 10,000 people, including 1,000 creators, 300 companies, 350 startups, and leaders from more than 90 countries.
Priyanka Chopra, who is currently filming her next movie with director SS Rajamouli, shared a video on her official Instagram account talking about how important the conference is.
Priyanka Chopra Praises WAVES 2025
Priyanka Chopra shared a message about the importance of the WAVES Summit 2025. She said,”Hello everyone. I wanted to take a moment to talk about something truly historic that’s happening right now. For the first time ever, India is hosting the World Audiovisual and Entertainment Summit, WAVES, in Mumbai from May 1st to the 4th. Now this isn’t just another conference. WAVES is India’s bold step onto the world stage. A signal that our creative economy is not just thriving, but ready to lead,” she stated.
She also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and government officials for supporting the event.
“And today WAVES is doing exactly that, thanks to the vision of our esteemed Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modi Ji, and the incredible support of the various ministries working to give media, entertainment, and the creator economy the true industry recognition that it deserves,” Priyanka added.
Priyanka Chopra spoke about how important the WAVES Summit is for India’s creative future. She said, “For the first time, India’s diverse industries from cinema to gaming to tech are all coming together… WAVES is a bridge from our timeless storytelling traditions to the future of global entertainment… India’s always had the talent and the culture. Now we have the platform,” Priyanka shared.
WAVES 2025 Shows Unity in India’s Creative World
Priyanka Chopra said that WAVES represents the coming together of India’s creative industries. For the first time, different fields like film, gaming, and technology are joining hands. She said WAVES connects India’s traditional storytelling with the future of global entertainment. India has always had talent and culture, now it also has a global platform.

Many famous celebrities are expected at WAVES 2025, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, and Alia Bhatt.
