Nissan has shared its formidable plans to make a comeback into the Indian market, the brand has unveiled two prospective launches that would help it gain a similar formidable position it enjoyed years ago. The Brand has been planning to launch two new vehicles in India, one of them would be based on the upcoming Renault Duster while the other would be based on the Triber. The vehicles would be launched in the financial year 2026 as confirmed by the brand. The SUV that Nissan is about to launch would take on rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Beyond the SUV, The MPV would have to go against the KIA Carens, Ertiga and other MPVs in the segment.

The SUV would launch alongside the new Renault  SUV – The union between the two brands would help spawn the new cars into reality.

As per the reports, that have been circulating over the internet, it has been alleged that the Nissan SUV would be a petrol only vehicle. At the launch of the vehicle only a single drivetrain would be available, a 1.3 litre turbo -Petrol engine capable of making 154 HP and 250 Nm of peak torque. The engine would be paired to a 7 Speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. No more details have been revealed about the manual gearbox.

The Nissan MPV would be based on the Renault Triber that is currently being sold by Renault.  The Triber has been able to provide users with a complete package and three rows of seating at a favourable price. It’s possible that the new Nissan MPV would use the same tactic to ensure that the new MPV is ready for sale in the market.
