An auto driver died after a tree fell on his vehicle amid rains in Karnataka Bengaluru. The deceased has been identified as Mahesh.

According to PTI, the deceased was a resident of Bengaluru’s Ittamadu area. The police said that the incident took place at 7:30 pm on Thursday.
The police said the tree fell on Mahesh’s auto at a bus stand on Kathriguppe main road. The police sent the body for postmortem.

“I have spoken to the District Collector and SP about the situation there. I have ordered that the injured be provided with treatment. I am reviewing the situation from time to time,” CM Naidu’s post added.
‘Downpour may have affected the wall’
Vinay Chan, Principal Secretary of the Endowment Department, told the news agency, ANI, that, prima facie, it appears that the downpour in the early morning may have affected the wall.
Search and rescue was carried out by teams of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the National Disaster Response Force, an official said.
