KIA Seltos Hybrid Spotted Testing- New Spy Images Reveal key Design Updates Before Launch! News24 –

KIA has been planning to give its vehicle lineup a profound shakeup with new launches that would soon follow one after the other. While the brand has recently showcased the new updated facelift Carens that would be sold under the moniker of Clavis it has further plans to update the Seltos as well. The all new Seltos has been spotted testing a few times already and it seems that the vehicle has reached a production ready stage.

In a recent update, the new Seltos has been spotted while testing in the US, The photos of the new Seltos Hybrid were revealed By AutoSpy.com. As per the website, the Seltos had a HYBRID powertrain; while the car was under heavy camouflage we could witness the new Rim designs and an extended roof line that is a big change over the current gen KIA Seltos. Comparing the appearance of the vehicle to the current gen vehicle the extended roofline stood out significantly. It seems that the rear panel of the car has been heavily redesigned as it was specifically hidden under heavy camouflage.  The new extended length of the vehicle points towards a comprehensive redesign and changes over the current generation model.

Hybrid Powertrain

Although the HYBIRD powertrain is a big attraction in the global models it’s highly unlikely that KIA would be launching the Hybrid option in India. Rather the brand has been planning to launch proprietary EV variants of their existing models, going by the soon to launch Carens EV.

The KIA Seltos has been a formidable part of the overall demand shift to compact SUVs that has become widely apparent in India in the last few years. Competing against the Brezza and the Creta the car has been a favorable choice for many in the segment. Going by the changes that we have been able to witness with the new spy shot, it has become apparent that the new facelift would have a completely new design with a new front fascia and a significantly apparent design change that would continue all over the body of the vehicle. 

The car would take design accents from KIA’s higher end models and would have a higher bonnet line and a bigger front end grill. The LED DRL elements have been changed and these would help the car achieve a signature look. 

New Front Fascia 

The Front grille would consist of vertical slats, beyond that, the vehicle would have new rim designs and an overall elongated roofline that accentuates the appeal of the vehicle. The rear LEDs would use the same design elements as seen in the headlights. Beyond the exterior re design the car would go through a much more significant interior upgrade which would result in a comprehensive feature rich upgrade.  The car would get a 12.3 inch infotainment screen with a possible 5 inch climate control screen. 

Beyond these changes the car might be equipped with ventilated seats as seen on the KIA Syros. Along with a  1.5L engine range consisting of a 1.5 Turbo as well as a Diesel.
