KIA seems to have ramped up the testing phase of the new Seltos Hybrid as a slew of new test mule sightings have been doing the rounds over the internet yet again. As per a report by AutoSpy.net, the Seltos test vehicle was this time spotted in two variants, that included a base model as well as a X line variant. Since both the variants were under heavy camouflage, certain changes in between the variants stood out.
The report from AutoSpy has revealed that the X-Line would have different bumpers that would be much sharper than those available in the lower-end variants. The bumpers on the lower-end variant seemed much more docile and conservative in design. Beyond the different bumper design, the other change that stood out was the different rim designs; the basic model had a simpler design while the proposed x line variant had a much more intricate rim design with dual-tone inserts.
Another standout feature that both the vehicles showcased was that the ORVMs had white frames Both the vehicles had revised front headlights as well as an extended roofline that indicated an extended wheelbase. Since the front fascia was heavily camouflaged it’s expected that most of the changes would be on the front fascia. Both the vehicles were seen in the grey; the X-Line variant had a black roof while the conventional variant had a simple grey roof.
Previously the Seltos was spotted while testing in the US, The photos of the new Seltos Hybrid were revealed By AutoSpy.com. As per the website, the Seltos had a HYBRID powertrain; while the car was under heavy camouflage we could witness the new Rim designs and an extended roof line that is a big change over the current gen KIA Seltos. Comparing the appearance of the vehicle to the current gen vehicle the extended roofline stood out significantly. It seems that the rear panel of the car has been heavily redesigned as it was specifically hidden under heavy camouflage. The new extended length of the vehicle points towards a comprehensive redesign and changes over the current generation model.

Hybrid Powertrain
Although the HYBIRD powertrain is a big attraction in the global models it seems unlikely that KIA would be launching the Hybrid option in India. Rather the brand has been planning to launch proprietary EV variants of their existing models, going by the soon to launch Carens EV.
The KIA Seltos has been a formidable part of the overall demand shift to compact SUVs that has become widely apparent in India in the last few years. Competing against the Brezza and the Creta the car has been a favorable choice for many in the segment. Going by the changes that we have been able to witness with the new spy shot, it has become apparent that the new facelift would have a completely new design with a new front fascia and a significantly apparent design change that would allow it have a new aesthetic. ‘
