Morna Depot To Pari Chowk Route Coming Soon- Check Fare, Stops & More! News24 –

Great news for Noida! The city is all set to introduce double-decker buses, which are expected to hit the roads later this month. This new service will greatly benefit office-goers, students, and the general public. The buses will operate on the Morna Depot to Pari Chowk route. Later, the bus route will be extended to Jewar depending on the requirement. According to reports, the launch is scheduled for this month itself.

How Many Double-Decker Buses

Uttar Pradesh Transport Department has decided to operate 20 such buses across the state in the first phase. Though buses will ply on different routes. Noida is supposed to get 2 double-decker buses as of now. Preparations for the launch are already underway. If this pilot run with two double-decker buses by the Transport Department proves successful, more buses may be added to the fleet. Currently, CNG buses operate on this route. With a high volume of passengers travelling between Morna and Jewar, the introduction of double-decker buses is expected to make their commute significantly smoother.

Routes

Double-decker buses will allow more people to travel together, offering an excellent transport option for densely populated areas like Noida. As for the route, these buses will soon begin operating between Morna Bus Depot and Pari Chowk. If required, the route may later be extended to Jewar. A new electric vehicle (EV) charging station has been set up at Morna Depot. Once the power connection is activated, the station will be ready to charge electric buses. Not just local buses, but even electric buses travelling through or toward places like Aligarh, Agra, and nearby districts will be able to use this charging facility.

When Will The Services Start?

The depot management has completed all preparations to operate the new double-decker electric buses. Once the buses arrive, officials will finalise their stops, fares, and schedules. A dedicated charging station has also been set up at the Morna Depot, which can be used to charge not only these double-decker buses but also other electric buses running on the same route. The launch is expected after May 15, with two double-decker electric buses set to begin operations in Noida. If the trial run proves successful, more buses will be added. These buses can accommodate nearly twice as many passengers as standard buses, helping to ease traffic congestion on the roads.
