After Amaran, Rajkumar Periasamy Aims Big With Vicky Kaushal Or Kartik Aaryan Showdown In Hindi Debut

After the huge success of Amaran, director Rajkumar Periasamy is all set to enter Bollywood with an exciting new action film. The movie will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and is expected to start filming in early 2026, right after Periasamy finishes his current Tamil film with Dhanush.

According to Pinkvilla, the casting process has started and the two top choices for the lead role are Vicky Kaushal and Kartik Aaryan, “Rajkumar Periasamy’s next is a high-concept actioner, in a space not seen before. The story is aided with strong emotions and warrants the presence of a young star, who is also a credible performer. The top two picks at the moment are either of Vicky Kaushal and Kartik Aaryan,” reveals an insider close to the production.

Industry sources also confirms that both actors have received script for the action thriller and expressed interest “The makers are looking forward to hear-back from Kartik and Vicky. There will be clarity on casting soon, but chatters indicate that both the heroes have really liked the script and the vision for treatment. It’s just about sorting out the dates, as Kartik and Vicky have their calendars packed with multiple films. Either of the two will definitely spearhead the film,” the source added.

The yet to be titled film is expected to roll in early 2026, with pre-production kicking off by the end of this year.

On the work front, Vicky Kaushal is shooting for his upcoming period drama Love & War with Ranbir and Alia. He also has a mythological epic planned for next year, titled Mahavtar. Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan is shooting for Anurag Basu’s romantic movie co-starring Sreeleela After that, he has also Nagzilla lined up in which he will play a shape shifting snake .
