In a decisive move to combat terrorism, the Indian Armed Forces have successfully executed “Operation Sindoor,” targeting key terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This operation was launched in response to the recent heinous attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen, Indian army said in a statement.
The operation involved precision strikes on nine identified sites linked to terrorist outfits, specifically targeting camps associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad. Notable locations affected include Masjid Sobhanullah in Ahmed Pur East Bahawalpur, Kotli in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, and Muzaffarabad.

Officials said that the strikes were carefully calibrated, focusing solely on terrorist targets while ensuring no Pakistani military facilities were harmed. This measured approach underscores India’s commitment to restraint and de-escalation amid heightened tensions.
“The actions taken today reflect our resolve to hold accountable those responsible for the Pahalgam attack,” stated a defense spokesperson. “We have acted with precision and care, ensuring that our response is both effective and responsible.”
As tensions continue to rise, reports indicate that Pakistan has responded with artillery fire in the Bhimber Gali area of Poonch-Rajouri, in Jammu region, further escalating the situation. The Indian Army is currently engaged in a calibrated response to ensure the safety and security of its borders.
A detailed briefing on Operation Sindoor is scheduled for later today, where military officials will provide further insights into the operation’s execution and objectives.
