On Operation Sindoor, Kamakshi Prasanna, a relative of Madhusudan Rao, who lost his life in Pahalgam Terrorist Attack, said, “I heard that Operation Sindoor took place last night, which has taken the revenge of so many families. We lost our husbands, and the name of the operation says it all. I want to thank PM Modi for taking this revenge…Whatever has happened to the families in Pahalgam should not happen with anyone else…”
In retaliation to Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians, India launched Operation Sindoor, a series of targeted military strikes. With this operation, India signalled its tough stance against cross-border terrorism. Under the operation, India destroyed terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK).
India’s strikes have escalated tensions between the two nations, causing significant disruptions, particularly in northern India. The name, “Operation Sindoor” is believed to represent national grief and determination, specifically honouring the memory of the young couples who were attacked.
Officials reiterated India’s firm stance, and said, “We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable.”
