In a recent update, it has been revealed that the Maruti Suzuki Fronx has been able to secure a commendable 4-star rating in the latest Japan NCAP crash testing for 2024( Model). The results were recently revealed by Japan Nasva- National Agency for Automotive Safety and Victim’s Aid. The test was designed in a manner that it tested the active safety features as well as the passive safety features of the car were tested to the limit.
Overall safety Scores For The New Fronx
After the testing of the Honda Elevate this is the second Indian car that has been tested by the Japan NCAP. The Fronx was able to achieve an overall score of 84% and a 4 star safety rating under the updated 2024 test protocols. The car scored pretty well in the Advanced Automatic Emergency Call system category scoring 8/8 points.
Overall the car was able to score 92% about 79.42 points out of 85.8 in preventive safety and 76% out of 100 points. The Autonomous braking system that further enhances the overall safety quotient of the vehicle.
100% protection rate for Daytime jaywalking pedestrians, Nighttime pedestrians as well as Cyclists. The Brakins system was able to reduce intersection scenarios by 58%, a full frontal clash by 79% and side impact by 95%.
In the Full Frontal Collision test, the car was able to achieve a 5/5 score for front seat protection the rear seat protection category was awarded only 3/5, in the offset front collision the car scored4/5. Rear Seat neck protection scored a 4/5 for driver and a similar 4/5 for the rear passengers provided that the seatbelts were latched.
While the Fronx Seems pretty similar to the one that sells in India its possible that the Japanese variant might have had a few other safety additions as per Japanese safety norms. The rear seat passenger safety led the car to loose out on points.
