Massive Boost For RCB – Tim David, Romario Shepherd, And Star Players Return Ahead Of IPL 2025 Restart! News24 –

The IPL 2025 will resume from May 17. With the league resuming, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have got a big shot in the arm as firebrand batsman Tim David joins the team again. David will now partner with Romario Shepherd, Jacob Bethell, Liam Livingstone, and Phil Salt, all of whom will be looking to assist RCB in getting their first-ever IPL title.

A number of foreign players were forced to head back home as a result of the delay in IPL 2025 as a result of India-Pakistan tensions. These included Tim David and other members of RCB, who were in Lucknow for a game against the Lucknow Super Giants on Friday last. David has been a major performer in the middle order for RCB this year, coming up with important runs whenever required.

Tim David’s Performance in IPL 2025

In 11 games this year, David has made 186 runs, of which an innings of 50 not out. He is presently averaging a high 93 with a strike rate of 194. Interestingly, his next match for RCB will be his 50th IPL game.

Big West Indian Romario Shepherd Too Returned

RCB also brings back Romario Shepherd and Liam Livingstone, increasing the depth in the team. Nevertheless, the franchise is still worried about the fitness of pace bowlers Josh Hazlewood and Lungi Ngidi. Hazlewood is recuperating from a shoulder injury, whereas Ngidi’s inclusion in the playoffs is questionable since he belongs to South Africa’s team for the World Test Championship (WTC) final.

Hazlewood’s Brilliant Season

Hazlewood has been impressive in this season so far, collecting 18 wickets. Losing him might put serious pressure on RCB for gaining their initial IPL championship.

RCB will continue their league with an Indian Premier League fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). It will boost KKR if they win because a defeat would derail KKR from their bid for a qualifier berth.
