Delhi: Ahead of the scheduled IPL match between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at Arun Jaitley Stadium today, May 18, 2025, the Delhi traffic Police issued a comprehensive traffic advisory. The advisory, effective from 5.30 pm to midnight on May 18, outlines several traffic restrictions and diversions for commuters and spectators. Additionally, people are advised to use the suggested entry points at the Stadium to avoid overcrowding and ensure smooth traffic flow.
Diversions Points & Restricted Roads
The match is set to begin at 7.30 pm, with key traffic arrangements in place. Commuters driving heavy vehicles, including buses, must note that entry from Daryaganj to Bahadurshah Zafar (BSZ) Marg, and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road is strictly prohibited till midnight. The other restricted roads (both carriageways) are:
J.LN. Marg: From Rajghat to Delhi Gate up to R/A Kamla Market
Asaf Ali Road: From Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate
Bahadurshah Zafar Marg: From Delhi Gate to Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk
Entry Points At Stadium
Entry allowed at Gate Nos. 1-8 (Southern side) via Bahadurshah Zafar Marg
Entry allowed at Gate Nos. 10-15 (Eastern side) via JLN Marg near Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal
Entry allowed at Gate Nos. 16-18 (Western side) via Bahadurshah Zafar Marg near Petrol Pump
Parking Facilities
Free Parking: Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road, and Velodrome Road
Designated Parking (Labeled Vehicles):
P-1: Parking available for four-wheelers at JP Park (Opposite Stadium’s Gate No. 3)
P-2: Parking available for four-wheelers at Vikram Nagar, Adjacent to Shahidi Park
P-3: Parking available for two-wheelers near JJB/Prayas Office
P-4: Parking available for GLNS School Near JJB- Prayas Office
NOTE: No general parking is allowed near the stadium except for labeled vehicles. Display of parking label with vehicle and driver’s phone number on the windscreen is mandatory.
