Gujarat BJP Leader Suspended And Arrested In Rape Case Alongside Friend From Surat News24 –

BJP’s Ward No. 8 General Secretary and his friend have been accused of gangraping a 23-year-old girl in Surat’s Jahangirpura area. It is alleged that the accused took the girl to Suvali beach in a car, drugged her and took her to a hotel and committed the crime. In this case, the police have detained Ward No. 8 BJP General Secretary Aditya Upadhyay and his friend Gaurav Singh.

It is being told that the girl was acquainted with the young man and had gone to Suwali beach with him in a car. The accused left the girl at home at night and went away. The girl was crying after reaching her home and was not even in a condition to walk. When the family questioned the girl, she told the whole incident. The family was horrified after hearing the whole incident.

The girl told that she had gone to Suwali beach with her acquaintances Aditya Upadhyay and Gaurav Singh Rajput. Both of them gave her intoxicating drugs due to which she lost consciousness. After this, both of them brought her from Suwali beach to Hotel Green located on Jahangirpura Canal Road and gang raped her. After the gang rape, both of them left the girl at her home again and went away.

Immediately after hearing what happened, the family informed the Jahangirpura police and the girl described her experience there. Afterward, both Aditya Upadhyay and Gaurav Singh Rajput were arrested by the Jahangirpura police at night. The arrested Aditya Upadhyay was working as the General Secretary of Ward No. 8 in the Bharatiya Janata Party in Surat. After the police arrested Aditya Upadhyay, he has been suspended from the Bharatiya Janata Party Surat Mahanagar.

Gaurav Singh Rajput, Aditya Upadhyay and the girl had previous ties with one another. All of them interacted on social media. After learning to trust them, the girl decided to go on a walk with them. They used the excuse of taking a walk with her to molest her. An investigation by the police is taking place.
